Happy New Year to all!!! Happy Chinese New Year to all!!! Gong Xi Fa Cai!!! Happy Valentine too :D... (well I'm supposed to say these things earlier, but since this is my first entry, now I say it... Hehe, and who gives a heck whether you still have the mood or not ^.^)
Hmm, I think I'm getting more and more bitchy these days... Maybe bcuz I keep listening to those bitchy podcasts...
Anyway, today I went for "P.S. I Love You", a very dramatic kind of romantic movie. It's about a husband who knows that he would die from some kind of disease... so he makes arrangements b4 he dies so that letters will be sent to his wife after his death to motivate her to continue her life without him... and at the end of every letters, he would always write "P.S. I love you"... cute right?
Well, what amazes me is not how he manages to send the letters to the wife at such accurate timing.. but his understanding of her... Maybe that's actually what's amazing about love, about how much ppl can do for each other... yea? (excuse me for still being in Valentine mood ^.^)
Another reason that I love this movie would be the cast. It's Gerald Butler and Hilary Swank!!! Yea the guy is the king of 300. If anyone has watched that, u'd know what I mean!!! And yea the lady used to be a "Boys don't cry" which is one of my all-time favourites. So I was at the cinema to watch the romance or to see the hunky cutie lovey dovey couple? I have no idea! ^.^
Back to the idea of how much ppl can do for each other, another idea just pops up in my head. My Business Ethics prof. used to say something like this to the class: What ppl do are just for themselves, it's the "self" part inside them that motivates ppl do whatever they do. (Well, remember he's a Ethics prof. ok, and his saying seems... not ethical at all!! LOL). Anyway, he has his point, which I agree... But I won't discuss this issue here (pls, discussing Ethics in class is more than enuf!).
I seem to contradict myself eh?
Who cares ^.^... Everyone contradicts himself rite ^.^...
For now I just wanna keep the happy happy lovey dovey couple of "P.S. I Love You" in mind and temporarily forget about being pragmatic. Looking forward to late Valentine celebration with my dear dear tmr. Life is actually sometimes pink right? ^.^
